Most people I hear blame the president (who ever it is) for what Congress does.
Obamacare? No - PelosiReidCare
Congress - NOT the president make our laws, and tax code. Much of what the Republican candidates say - they CAN NOT do. Only Congress can. But here is the interesting part. Polls hate Congress - they need to go - EXCEPT MY guy!
Congress passed term limits on the president, but noooo... not for them.
We haven't had an actual budget for years - just stop gap - no budget no pay.
Both Reps and Dems DO NOT believe in small government. Dems want to legistrate how you run your business - Reps want to legistrate what you do in your personal life. Both suck - both are NOT small government.
I would pick just about anyone over Bush, hes why were in a mess today. Obama just got into a world of sh@t that was left behind by the Bushs'. But I think Obama doesn't have the ability to lead , thats why we need a new president in there. Just my 2 cents.

Oh don't get me wrong, I hated Bush, I just hate Santorum more. As for who's fault the whole mess is, I'd love to blame Bush since I really don't like him. However it's hard to blame one man. Right now all three branches of government are performing poorly.
I'm working 70+ hours a week, watching my annuity make a TON of money, looking at this economy recover much faster than under a republican administration. It can be better, and it will, unless a man who comes in and deregulates everything. I don't trust the private sector to govern themselves, eventually they take everything. Greed is rampant under GOP control, and I won't vote for it.
Cool, that's you. How about the 300,000,000-1 people left?

Well... how will the republicans help the other 300,000,000-1? They mainly want to help the people that are already doing well while cutting support for everyone else. It's not like I benefit from the so called "liberal handouts" of the government, since I'm pretty well off myself, but I still realize that a supposed first world nation shouldn't have the unemployment rate, inadequate access to healthcare and poverty that we have.
As of right now, the Republicans ain't much better.
By the way, have you seen the budget? We can't pay for all the stuff we're doing.
We sure can't, but the social programs aren't the culprits. It's our unbalanced taxes, wars, borrowing practices, and all the other nonsense.
If you imagine the federal budget as a family budget, what do you cut? Your elaborate and expensive trips to **** up the nighbors down the street or the family dental plan? Where should priorities be? Republicans seem to think its better to cancel the dental plan and continue to **** up the neighborhood, I don't agree.

This sounds like a Ron Paul supporter to me. :P I don't see our current President changing any of those things, in fact some have gotten a wee bit more intense. Anyways, not the point.
I don't like the gov. sticking their nose in my business/personal/life in general, and I don't think most people do either, so IMO the government needs to slow the eff down, they really don't HAVE to pass more laws/regulations. This Government was designed to be slow for a reason, but both sides and all branches have seemed to forget that neat little tid bit. Having said that, I'm not a total no-rules, do whatever kinda guy; there are boundaries that are needed, I'm just not so sure writing rules like this: :work: is the answer.
Anyways, there are a million different arguments from all sides on what should and shouldn't be done by the government; but when it comes down to it, there aren't very many voters out there who don't already have their minds made up as of today who their pick is.
And I sort of see the resemblance between the two, but wouldn't have ever made the connection that they look similar without this thread. :)

Not a Ron Paul supporter. I also said earlier one man can't be blamed or held responsible for all the things, considering it's not like he has absolute power or anything. It's a systemic problem.
they really don't HAVE to pass more laws/regulations.
Yea, I agree, because they can hardly enforce the ones they have.
