Maybe it's just my car. I know even though things are mass produced in the same way, there will always be the slightest variances from one to another. It wasn't much that I had to shim the mount, maybe 1/4-3/8" at the most.
If using a poly mount you need to space it, theres a write up on how to do it, I wouldn't short cut it.

I installed the MSD Coil, MSD distributor/rotor, Taylor Wires, and Bosch Plugs yesterday afternoon on the 89 bird and I've been driving it since. I can't believe how much smoother it is and I can feel the car has picked up some HP. Hopefully now I can save even more gas.

I like the look of the car lowered as well, but honestly I dive the car too much on back country roads to deal with scraping.
Ordered a new windshield for the daily, luckily I'm getting a good deal $240 installed out-the-door.
What's it cost for a windshield replacement down there in Yankee-land? I got quotes over in Detroit, they were all between $220-$300.
Over here it typically costs between $300-500 depending on the model
I always have glass coverage so its free, minus the monthly payment on my insurance. Sounds like a good deal though.
