ok...I know the rest have you have noticed in this thread as well...what's with all the new members posting for the first time in this tread with some random comment?! I'm guessing they're all spambots or something..
I just ordered all the stuff I need to install two JL Audio 10's in the Silverado, I need some more bass. I'm keeping the Bose headunit and Bose speakers just adding a inline converter to to add the amp and subs. I'll probably add a new headunit and 4 channel amp with speakers later on when I get more funds.

So I went a little crazy on my stereo for the Silverado, got a Sony double din touch head unit , 2 JL Audio 10w3's , 4 JL 6.5 2 way speakers ,PPI 4channel 800 watt amp the Ice series, and I'm using my old PPI 2300 am amp to power the subs and got the rear box for the 10's plus all the wiring and fuse holders etc. Wasn't too bad on pricing I figure with it all installed it will be right around $2000.

Got the amps installed in the Silverado, and made sure the back seat still fits and it does. Heres some pics. Amps are pretty big the PPI 2300am is 24"x8"x2" and the PPI 4 channel is 17"x8"x2". I'm surprised they fit. Going to fatmat the rest of the rear panel along with the doors when I do the speakers.

I just used some metal screws , the rear wall has 2 layers until it goes through the outter wall. I just went through the 1st metal wall so no screws coming out the back of the cab. It will be about 2000 RMS total. Good thing I run 2 batteries.

I run half of that in my Camaro and I can't think straight if it's at 100%... Cannot even fathom how loud double my 1000RMS would sound....That's crazy!

I run the same in my Camaro with 2 10" Alpine type X's in 2 stealth subthump boxes. Its pretty loud for 10's. I thought I would try JL Audio this time since the type X's won't fit the Silverado box. Its only 6" deep and will be facing down.

A few days ago I switched to synthetic oil. I CANT BELIEVE THE DIFFERENCE! Shifting was almost impossible to perform smoothly, I think because the compression was not what it used to be so it would struggle when the clutch would be engaged. Also the engine would need a lot of gas to keep from stalling when engaging first from a stop, now I dont even give it gas. I am very happy.
So my truck is finally getting some work done, after 17 years, Oil pressure sensor went out and it’s located under the lower intake manifold. Have to...
