Ordered my custom grind cam about 20 minutes ago.. Should have everything I need to start a build thread, just waiting for it to warm up now.. While the world had the 4th warmest January on record, here in the midwest, we've had record or near-record lows all winter. We still have a foot of snow in most places and we've only had a handful of days above freezing.. Makes it hard to go out and work on the car...
Whats your cam specs? Looking forward to your build thread.

Ahh come on.LOL I'm thinking of a custom cam and I think I might go with what Letzride had I think it was 230/240 113 LSA. Is it bigger than that? He had great results with it so thats what I'm thinking of getting.

I just ordered my Yank Torque converter for the LS1!!
and not today, but over the last little bit on the LS1- Yanked the stock 10 bolt from the camaro, bolted on the Corsa exhaust catback, welded on subframe connectors, and had the car undergo a mini restoration (shop got rid of all the minor surface rust underneath, then coated and painted the underneath black. Got rid of a tiny rust bubble that just started on the inside fender- apparently had a pin hole under the bubble, so that was fiberglassed and patched up and repainted. The shop did a damn good job and the price was pretty cheap. Car looks stellar and all the seams recieved seam sealer so that I shouldn't ever have to worry about moisture again.)
The Ford 8.8 is currently in the shop recieving 3.73 gears and ABS rings so that I can keep ABS this time around
I'll have a quick idle clip of the corsa exhaust I'll throw up in the next few days. It sounds good, but it's a little too quiet compared to my old v6...I don't sound anywhere near as intimidating
I'm hoping to get the rusty break lines in the rear unbolted this weekend and put on the russel stainless braided pieces.
I still need to do:
- Swap over QA1's
- Swap torque arm over
- Swap aluminum driveshaft over
- Swap new wheel bearing in
- Get line lock installed
- install Wideband O2
- Install double din radio
- Install passenger Side window fix
- Install stall converter
- Install the Frod 8.8 rear end
Wayy too many things to do, and spring is coming up fast!!

I can't wait to see what the LS1 runs compared to your V6. What size stall did you go with for the LS1? Doesn't your LS1 already have a Alm. driveshaft?

I just ordered the SS3600. I was strongly debating going with the 4000 since that is what Yank recommended me when I told them I want to run in the 11's with just bolt ons and will have 3.73's
Then I kind of took a step back and said I want this car to be a street monster, but I don't even think I would hook up on the street with a 4000 stall (don't think I will with a 3600 either lol)
The car actually came with a steel driveshaft (which is heavy as sh*t btw). I debated keeping it because I hear some of the LS1 guys are shredding the aluminum pieces, but my U-joints are all different on the aluminum one so that it works with the Ford 8.8
I can't wait to see what it runs either- I'm going to say mid 12's because I won't even have longtube headers on it come race season.
So my truck is finally getting some work done, after 17 years, Oil pressure sensor went out and it’s located under the lower intake manifold. Have to...
