Winterization duties performed: snow tires and coolant flush for that dependable toasty heated air while scraping ice.

Lately it's been a rain event here in CT and temps are getting cooler now.

Re: What Did You Do Today ?

Left Rhode Island last night, under the drivers side foot / floorpan area I heard a metallic rattle that got loud at red lights but it faded away a bit whenever I slowly backed off the clutch pedal to get moving. The recent clutch job that my friend and I performed was giving me that troubled feeling all the way home. Not up for a thorough inspection at night freezing my azz off, I decided sunrise was the plan for attack.

It turned out to be amazingly stupid. The drivers side exhaust manifold heat shield had rusted away at the rear most bolt and fell downwards. It was stuck under the steering wheel shaft and suspended between plug wires 3 & 5. Swearing like a truck driver, it took a very long set of needlenose pliers to pry, bend and pull that b1tch out. Reinstallation of the heatshield was not an option as the other bolts were rusted shot therefore I junked it.

Typical of what you'd expect of a car with 357K miles surviving in Connecticut but hey, it's fixed. :)

Replaced rear wheel bearings and oil seals on the Camaro. Then put a new headlight socket on my bro's Jeep.

                            Stop that.

I worked today. I work everyday. Day in, day out. Make a **** ton of money, watch it go out the door before I can touch it. Been like this for 2 years. Nothing changes. Can't see my son often, but he does look like Big Ern McCracken from Kingpin.

I finally got some washers and nuts to tighten up the front fenders/bumper. They've been held together with zip ties for the past 2-3 years.
