I think it's about time we gave this Lounge section a refreshing look about our daily lives related to Firebirds, Camaros and anything GM related and it works well in my local 3rd Gen message board ( 200 pgs so far ). This would get updated daily by whomever feels like posting. Less clutter from politics, drama etc lol so let's make this a unique opportunity to show off your GM vehicle. I'll start this thread.

6AM and a beautiful spring today forecasted, I went to install an e-brake assembly from a '94 Z28 to my broken one in my '96 3.8L M5. It was fairly easy and now my rear brakes lock good and tight. That made my day so far, along with finding $4.78 in change by digging deeper in the trans tunnel/ carpet area. This shot is the old e-brake assy removal. Removal of the passenger seat was necessary to make more room and take out the console much easier.


Second job was to grease the window guide rails and find the cause of the window rattle and squeaks. Found 1 broken window felt guide and replaced both with genuine GM parts. No more rattle and cranks right up easily with no effort although I do need a new crank handle, the inside part is chewed up from hard abuse. Ordering one later. So far, so good...

This the GM part # for the felt window guides. The old guide on the right snapped off and scratched the window so it's recommended if tinted windows are in your future.

I removed the drivers seat and vacuumed the carpet altogether. Both seats were treated to a new aftermarket set of Chevrolet seatcovers I purchased at Autozone. I also used Simple Green to preclean the plastic interior trim free of dirt, dust and stains before using a better application of interior protectants. Nearly 3 hours spent and I have a better Camaro to ride in.

looks good, we have the same alpine door speakers! yesterday i put in some to tr55 plugs and red taylor wires. but too bad its raining out today

not a damn thing. did the breaks on the t/a last weekend though, went from a quick thing to an all day affair thanks to the drivers side rotor being stuck to the hub. took 3 of us to get the goddamn thing off.

Took the Camaro out of winter storage and drove around for a bit! Felt good to have it out for the summer!

Took my drag wheels off and brought it to Slowhawk for my tranny rebuilt.

Drove the 3rd gen to work and back...


Nothing to a car...


But routed and pinned some wing ice protection for a 787.

Holy crap silverRS that sounds nasty! I love it.

Anyways, today I washed mine up, cleaned it out and wiped it down, then pulled the tops out and went and ate some sushi. Just enjoyed the evening listening to crazy 90's tunes and loving my bird. I will be starting the cam swap next month. I'll be on 12 hour days for the next 5 weeks, and I figure I wont have time to spend a dime, so next month I should be down and ready to get her done. Then all I will need to do is get the tranny rebuilt, rebuild front and rear suspension, cut weight, put together a nitrous kit, fix the dash, and the list goes on.

If you look close enough you can see the pitting in the axle. So worn a new bearing had shown almost a quarter inch of play. :(

Rebuilt a transmission on a turbo ZX14 that makes twice as much power as my car... :P

Today I assisted my friend totally GUT his '94 Z28 and it took a lot of time and beers lol. His plan is to go LSX and into the deep 9's, should be an awesome drag car. I'll be there to witness his progress which this began in mid February so here ya go.
