got back from skills, first round i made it in 3rd place but did not make it to state :( the tranys and electrical got the best of me i had no clue what to do there . but tried my best and my instructor was proud that i got third out of 40 in the first round :)
i had 5 hours to do a full check up today on my bird so i put it on the lift and tried to diagnose the o2 sensor code. turns out the guy who i payed to put the new engine (to the car) did not connect the o2 sensor from the right exhaust manifold:( , so i connected it . put it back down and cleared the codes. and took it for a drive then the engine light came back on . pulled the code and now i have a small evap leak and one of my knock sensors is out. also upon the inspection i did i found that both my upper ball joints are shot. looks like more diagnosing and new ball joints :)
Installed some Focal components. Made a world of difference in the front end sound. Got the LED tails from Brandon all set up last week as well and thanks to Troy for helping me with what I needed to change in wiring, and we're back in business from getting rear-ended.
pics of tweeters installed in a-pillars. And a cameo for the TA. ignore the slightly separated dash...
and them sexy LEDs. Now it just needs some help from Strano.
That picture makes my car look like it leaks EVERYWHERE but I promise it doesn't! Blame the Dakota for having a bad tranny output to t-case seal -.-
Driving to work today and my heater started blowing ice cold. My temp gauge was hovering around 210 and would drop every so often. I had the heater on full blast but it was blowing ice cold. Was about 3/4 mi away from work after a un-nerving 20mi drive when I looked at the temp gauge go from 210 to 240. My power was got limited and I pulled into the parking lot and parked hella crooked. I opened my bleeder screw to relieve pressure and steam just poured out for about 4 mins. Am I screwed yet?

I would start by checking your thermo, water pump, and if you have any leaks.

heater hoses on the tensioner are torn. I ordered the adapters from a park avenue like I read in a heater hose thread. I still have to get the hoses and find that 5/8 to 3/4 hose adaptor. a new water pump would be nice
