I haven't finished gutting it yet, so I haven't weighed it out. I'm considering polycarbonate front/rear glass replacement too. Seems like about another 50lb of weight shedding.
It still looks good on the outside. I'm sure some race seats and a roll bar will make it an acceptable look once I'm done. Most of the trim can be put back in if I wanted to undo. I think only 1 piece broke.
Not too worried about street legal at this point. If I wanted to make it street legal again replacement glass isn't that expensive. Track by me is going to be offering storage/garages soon, so I may just leave the car there instead of using a trailer.

Yea I need to look into getting the weight off the front a little bit for some added balance for road racing. I don't want it to be boring because the v6 is slow on the straights and the car is too heavy on the corners. I'm hoping a serious diet for this car will yield some fun on the track.

I just did this too. I was amazed at how much came off, after only an hour or so of labor. Keep this updated, are you planning on removing a/c and whatnots?
