          Re: Euro 2012

I watched the last 45 min of the Spain/Portugal match. Every time one player touched another, one of them would fall on the ground holding his leg SCREAMING. This happened maybe 10 or a dozen times during the latter part of that game, and each and every time it did, a few seconds later (after the ref had decided to call a penalty or not) the "injured" player would get up and, not only walk away, but keep playing like nothing had ever happened. And that's exactly right: nothing ever happened. It was just a bunch of athletes pretending to be pussies and faking injury. How pathetic. Do people still wonder why Americans prefer football and baseball over soccer/futbol? Well there's your answer.

Oh yeah, and for all those instances of players falling over grabbing their legs and screaming, not a single one of them left the game due to actual injury.

Ya, I can't stand that...which is why I never watch soccer except for euro/world cup...even now I've only seen parts of the games because it drives me crazy....I mean, if you ever did that on the ice you can bet your bottom dollar that the next shift you played someone WILL be carrying you off the ice because you ARE injured.

These guys should try taking a 100mph clapper in a spot with no padding...then they I can excuse a yelp or two...
