Re: Anyone driven/ owned a 1st gen Grand Cherokee SRT8?
I have had to opportunity to drive a friends, seemd to handle pretty good for a bulky SUV. It moved out when you put the gas to the floor. Overall I was pretty impressed with it.
Re: Anyone driven/ owned a 1st gen Grand Cherokee SRT8?
I launched by one on the freeway(2nd gear) just to piss him off since he cut me off. But he got on my exit and we messed around for about 15miles. Its hella fast but he wasnt pushing it unless he got behind traffic and wanted to catch up. And that he did. Inside is nothing but luxury(I work at a mazda dealer right next to a dodge dealer)
Thanks guys - might go and test one - I want a new beater for the snow - I'm bored with my ford
I would not call that car a beater, there was some guys at my Community college who sold there cars and invested money into the Jeep, like throwing superchargers and other junk on them. Apparently they are very addictive. Update us on your search.
Re: Anyone driven/ owned a 1st gen Grand Cherokee SRT8?
GCSRT8's are beast machines, definitely go try one out. Essentially the Jeep version of my truck (Trailblazer SS), but slightly faster stock vs. stock due to a few extra ponies and a slick transmission. The second I test drove my TBSS I loved it, you wont be disappointed.
Best of both worlds is what you'll get...plenty of power and speed, and plenty of space and practicality. I dig it.
