    Re: RAGE'S transformation

What did you end up doing with the LT1 tails? And why's your body 2 different shades of red? I noticed the doors-forward are a lighter shade than the quarter/sail panels-back..

i sold the for 50 bucks to a guy on craigs list, i saw his bird and it needed them cause the old ones were broken pretty bad . they were in ok shape the ones i sold em . they needed buffing and 1 was starting to crack. and about that panel i noticed that like a year ago im also going to sand that down and repaint it while me and a friend are working on the new bumper. and also he said the bumper on my bird now can be repaired i just need all the pieces and all of them are in the foam thing behind the bumper , idk what its called so forgive me for that :o but any ways this will be started on sunday

Not to nit-pick, but it may be camera angle etc, but to me it looks like your LF wheel is pushed back inside the wheel-well... if it is, that's definitely something to look into.

x2. Don't let our pickiness get to you, it looks like you've put in a lot of sweat and pride into your ride. That's one of the most gratifying feelings; knowing that you are the reason that your car is on the road. Keep it up

... yeah that seemed way more harsh than I meant. It looks good man, I've always liked red on black. Hate to see something happen to it because of bent metal underneath... that's all I was getting at.

thanks man it means alot. i feel better having a car that i have kept running and put my personal taste on it also , than just buying one from some one else.

its fine man :) i could see how you could think that also . btw i have a friend that drives a honda civic 94 and he has dropped it like i mean dumped the thing to the ground and he can only hold 250 lbs max in that thing before it start to scrape, and his FR wheels is pushed back plus he has massive negative camber in the front and back lol

                      Re: RAGE'S transformation

the rear bumper is like this also on both sides
                      [IMG][/IMG]
the way the head lights sit from the accedent
                      [IMG][/IMG]
                      [IMG][/IMG]
and the bumper is pushed back cause of that brace that broke
                      [IMG][/IMG]

all of these were like this before the accident except the bumper being pushed back and the head lights

                        Re: RAGE'S transformation

Not uncommon for panel gaps, the build tolerances of our cars are big.... Not like cars built today. Obviously there are some really bad ones on your car from your accident.

Panels and parts sag overtime.. I know my car has never been in an accident and my bumpers both need to be realigned, you know... when girls get old they sag

After reading many of your past posts on the general I give much props to the work you put in to your bird.

I wish I did the same thing too for my 89 Bird. It took me over a year to get it back on the road and running like it did or even better when my dad first bought it.

I wouldn't worry too much about the gaps, When I installed my SS hood I have about the same gap space as yours.
