I would of had it painted then put on, since your paint isn't bad.

Looks good. Always satisfying to DIY. Nothing wrong with putting Trans-am/SS parts on a V6!

You said your friend could paint, so he's probably on top of things, but make sure you use adhesion promoter before shooting the primer. You'll also have to use a flex agent/additive so the paint doesnt crack when the bumper flexes. I couldnt believe how flexible my paint was when I did my body kit. It was twisting and flexing alot when I reinstalled it by myself and nothing cracked.

The first time I shot my body kit I thought decided to put a little bit of purple pearl in the clear. I thought to myself that it would barely be noticeable. This was my first experience using any pearls. After it sat overnight I came back the next morning and in direct light it was hot pink. It was kind of a cool effect, but I couldnt have that on my car so I sanded it down and re-shot it. It was worth the extra work just to see what it looked like i guess.

I'd check the wires behind the headunit for a short. Are you a factory Monsoon car?

Check above the spare tire, follow the wheel well up and near the top, if it's a Monsoon car, it'll have the factory amp. If that's not there, check the RPO codes in the door frame for a W73(?) code... I'm not sure it's 73, but it would be a W code. If you have the amp, there's another good place to look for a short. And it's no good anyway... divides a 250w system into 10 channels, peak. All the wires for it run next to eachother, and cause tons of static and noise in the system.

well guys i have found the problem to my sound static.

                              heres what haappened

here below you will see i took out my seat, why? idk just to do it and so it will be out of the way. but i was thinking why would i check my base system if my mids and highs go out. so i took a step back and thought where do i hear it from , and it was from the right rear speaker. now i go an pull on some wires and the static happen

                              [IMG][/IMG]

here is what i found , when i ripped this wire off, i did not cover it so the power just kept touching ground and there goes the sound strait to ground

                              [IMG][/IMG]

at this point my teacher told me eather tape it or sodder it back onto the speaker so i decided to soder it back on. and before yall say sum about my sodering. this was my first time doing it so its not pretty or neat i guess but heres the finished product

                              [IMG][/IMG]

and last i left my mark in my panel lol
