The colours look like they match up perfect, is that just the picture or is it that close?

Kind of sucks that you have to deal with that front plate garbage, but it does look good.

in the picture it looks perfect but if you look at it in person it is very very close but you can tell especially with the glossyness

                  Re: RAGE'S transformation

false alarm guys on the o2 sensor, it was my knock sensor in back one the connector came undone somehow.

Funny how you got an o2 code instead of knock.

i guess it was the scaner at autozone cause the one at the shop where im learning at , the snap on one it only showed it was a knock code pending and in the history was the o2, tranny sliping , and the old knock code , and i forgot what else there was more but they were the past codes.

                        Re: RAGE'S transformation

update, yesterday, i took my car to get a tire patched, in the process while my car had the tire of (rear right wheel) i wanted to do a quick check up on it so i did and i noticed a oil leak. my brake caliber had it and it was all up on the wheel well of the rear right side, then i look behind the rotor, and i see its oily in there. any idea what blew in the axle shaft, i would check with alldata but i dont get back to school tuesday. the help would be very help full guys, thanks, right now i have it down to the bering, or the seal . and there is noise coming from it but its a high pitch squeak. that like chirps twice and thats it , only on acelleration from 0 to about 10 mph

Sounds like the axle seal... they're simple enough.

                            Re: RAGE'S transformation

ok guys so i have an update on my bird. yesterday, i checked on the leak coming from the axle housing, and it is defenitely a seal as i and docta thought so too. so this is my project for this week end.!! i went to the parts store and check how much it would be . it will be around 90 bucks. 3 quarts of 75w-90 the seals and the sealer for the housing cover of the diff. but does any one know how many seal i need??

and by the way my teacher told me how to do it. he said lift it. suport the body not the rear end , remove the tires, caliper, and rotor. next take the diff cover off. remove the b5/16 nit. take out sone rod then push the axle. bom drops the horse shoe then push the other axle. and then you can take it out. next, remove the seal. put the new one and pack the axle with gresee and put it back in and everse theprocedure.

some one correct me if thats wrong please!!.

and i also have more new but i need yall opinion on this.

i have finaly decided. what i am going to do with my bird in terms as a project.

now before this can go down i need to get a 2nd car and save up the cash to do it.

ok so my bird will become a drifting car. now for you guys that might not know hat this is here are some links to some videoes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i_rn0wHuAus

                            and finaly my favorite video
                            http://vimeo.com/45611709#at=0

ok so now that yall can see what i mean by drifting. heres where i need yalls help

is it better to go ls1 or stay v6 ? what do you guys think would be cheaper to be able to drift way better.

if i stay v6 i will rebuild my current engine maybe turbo or a m90 or n/a idk yet tho that why i need yals help but if i do stay v6 and pick any of those 3 this will follow along also, cam it, port heads and intake and upgrade the rocker arms act. also the bird will go from a a4 to a m5 with that also rebuilt. and the car will go under major suspention upgrades also. such as lowering, sway bars, pan hard bard, lower and upper control arms, and k member upgrade. then it will go to wheight reduction. such as rear seat delete, take out unneccesary stuff, no subs ...you get the point.

now if i go ls1, this s where ive done some home work. since my bird is a y87 acording to the lsx thread. i dont have to swap out the steering tack, tranny, drive shaft or rear end and also the fuel pump. if i do go this route, this will also get all the suspention and wheight reduction upgrades and such. but i will need a ls1, harnest from a manual ls1 car with the pcm and all of the things to make it work.

but what would be cheaper and better? this is where i am stuck on where to go ls1, or v6.
the main point of this is to have my bird as a week end car and go drift and have fun.
or in the end is it better to just buy a trans am or formula and keep the bird with the v6 and do minor things?
guys i need yall input on this!!!

oh and by the way this is what i did this past week end !!

                            check it out

took a couple of picture of the bird
