    13. then put you diff cover back on and put silocone sealant all around it. but before you might as well clean the magnet. heres mine

    before:
    [IMG][/IMG]

    and after.

    [IMG][/IMG]

14.once it is done refill you diif with gear oil. i put in 75w-90. at the top of the differential there should be a wire leading to it and on there there is a small bolt. unscrew than and then pull up and a magnet on a wire should pull out and the hole where it was is where you pour you gear oil. when done close it back up

15.put rotor, and brakes back on along with your tires. and set your car down

    16. take your car for a spin and test it out to see if you hear any odd noises, and stuff.

anyways thats how i did mine it took me about 4 hours since this was my first time.

    here are some extra pictures.

ok so heres what i found. the Bering got scared and is slowly eating away the axle shaft.

does any one know if all the axles are the same from 94 to 2002?

and if not what years would fit my 2000, i am going to the salvage yard and going to get a use one, for the reason that i am currently low on cash and new they cost 250.

plus this is my daily driver so i need to fix it as soon as posible.

94-97 and 98-02 are different lengths. 98-02 are a quarter inch shorter than 94-97 axles.

thanks man so i need to look for 98-2002 specific then. that will be difficult cause the junkyard i go to . last i went they crushed all the firebird those year there was about 20 of them, then a week later there was 2 left.
also will the v6 camaros also fit?

i have a limited slip diff, does that matter or no?

Next time, pack those bearings before you install them...hopefully yours don't fail on you. You really have to make sure they're packed as full as possible with grease, not just greased slapped on the rollers and half-*** pushed in.

Again, don't take my criticism the wrong way. You're doing a great job learning and doing the work on your own car. Anybody that can take care of it themselves and is willing to learn it the right way along the way deserves respect. Keep it up

Checked for leaks when i stopped and any noise while driving and nothing.

                          • Went today to ac delco to check the price for a new window motor since both of mine are dying . They sell for 4 buck. Which is not bad. And also for the antena asembly and that was 90 . That was a lot for me but I found the next thing I am going to replace. Going to follow the window motor replacement stick for that.

I had a scraping sound coming from one of the wheels. Found the rust buildup on the rotors so bad that it was rubbing the caliper. Cleaned that up and no more scraping! Then I proposed to my girlfriend of 7-8 years. She said yes.
