Well, I'm just glad you know what you're getting yourself into.

The torque arm relocation bracket is for lowered cars to keep the correct control arm geometry. Otherwise the control arm would be at an angle and not be able to do it's job as well as it could and result in wheel hop and other bad things. A lowered car also needs an adjustable panhard bar to align the axle or else you'll see one tire stick out the wheel well and the other side would be further in.

Ahhh... ok did not know it was for lowered cars. I will need that and as for the panhard bar I already have that on my wish list of parts

That's a 6le front splitter. It's expensive... you realize your going to be spending well in excess of $15,000 to accomplish your goal?

              • Quick up date. Got an oil change. Just need to do it some time this week. Going back to regular motor oil.

Also going to try and see where the leak is from while I'm down there.

The oil hitting my exhaust is starting to get on my nerves and is also embarasing.

                • I tried to see where the oil was leaking from. Still no luck I can't see it. All I see is the ac compresor bracket, and oil pan packed of burned oil also when I rev it and keep it around 2000 rpms or higher the leak starts drop by drop and falls on the y-pipe before the cat. Right under the engine any clue what it could be guys. I hope its not the gasket.or anything major.

There is a rear main cover that bolts to the back of the block with a crank seal in the center of it. The trans bell housing covers it. I'm assuming that is what Steve is referring to.

If it is that then how is the a/c compresor getting caked with oil along with the oil filter and the oil psi sensor? I don't belive its there. When I see it leaking. It also drips down from the passenger side k-member. After that some how some oil falls on the exhast and causing smoke and the smell. Eather way I will get to the bottom of it. I will get my hands dirty to find out what's going on. Can't let it keep goin like this I know it will get worse.

Also today i got me an extra rim for 30 bucks, now i have 2 extras now. the guy had a grave yard of camaros and firebird in his back yard. No joke anyways I also noticed my inspection is due this month. Also....

Take some brake cleaner or something next time you have the car in the air and spray the block and scrape off the dirt and grime where ever you can. If you're leaking from the front and back of the motor, you may have a few gaskets leaking.

If you have oil dripping onto the exhaust Y crossover, it sounds like the rear main is leaking. Is the back of the oil pan above the drain plug covered in oil?

On the front, check the timing cover and oil filter adapter/mount for leaking gaskets.

Yea I have the time the only problem is to get it up in the air on solid ground. Most of the pwople I know that live in a house have a dirt drive way that's flat or a concrete drive way that's an a big slope. But I will check when I find a place hopefully this week.

                              • All right so today I changed the oil. And it made a difference from what I could tell from how it ran.

Any ways I also got the car up in the air up high enough to where I can get under it. Completely. And I cleaned as much as I could with a brass bruch and engine degreaser and shop towels.

As I looked to what I could see I kinda figured out how it hits the exhaust. But I still could not see where it leaks from. I have a general area where but I can't see it. So anyeays it looks like its somewhere from the passengers side of the block. It leaks enought to get the a/c compresor, oil filter. Oil psi sensor, steering rack, oil pan and the passenger header and y pipe and even the tranny bell housing covered in it.

I think this is how it starts. Some where brom the side of the block and leaks down the headder and burns. When I'm at a dead stop it leaks dow tge whole side of the block and starts collecting at the steering rack and oil pan and leaks drip by drip. Onces it has enough there when I'm driving the drops fall back to the y pipe. Rhen to the tranny bell house. Hopefully that make sense.

I drove around for 10 miles to see if it would smoke again but the only thing I could smell burning was the engine degrease and minimal smoke from that also. Next I'm thinking about ussing this die that goes in oil and see if I can find it from that.

Any ways here are some pics. Sorry for the blurry ones my phone did not want to focus. And also any o e know what that pmate is I am ponting to it was not bolted down. Also any ideas where its from?
