Mike the dual fan set up works best,its probably just the relay.

Believe it or not the V8 isn't much harder to work on than the V6 both engines are half buried under the cowl.

not a relay, I swapped them around and was using hp tuners to command the fans. The low or left driver side fan never comes on.

When I get my new fan out of the v6 that I bought last year I'll swap it in this weekend...for now I just use the A/C 24/7

One thing I've noticed is the gas mileage SUCKS I literally just got 162 miles to this tank...don't know what the deal is, but that sucks. I mean I know I was a little harder on it, but I wasn't beating it that bad...

The gas mileage shouldn't be that bad my V8 got the same as the V6 it just used premium.

Check for some stored codes.

Only code I keep throwing is P0410 which is for the AIR pump. I think its toast...which means...minor weight reduction :D?

It could be that I work downtown Toronto so I sit in traffic every morning and it is bumper to bumper coming home everyday to. I was struggling to get the 187miles (300km) to a tank in the v6 as well...mind you the gas mileage in that car went straight down the ****ter after the 4.10s went in

Even when I beat on my cars, both the T/A and v6 got well over 200 miles to a tank. The T/A with a 6-speed and 4.10's would still get ~240 miles and the v6 heads/cam 5-speed with 3.23's is still ~280 miles. That's doing several 60-120mph pulls, constant 85mph hwy speeds and hard accelerations. Keep in mind, I don't always drive like this :burn:

I used to get 300 miles to a tank in the bird. 5 speed, 3.42, and cam. There's gotta be something wrong, I got an average of 19 mpg, not racing.

Well that explains a lot,you get "0" mpg when your sitting still and idling;)

ya I know...still lower than I expected lol. The good thing is the new gauge reads different from my old one...so I only filled up 42 litres today instead of my usual 52-54 litres or 12 gallons as opposed to 15.5 gallons for you American Folk

The 99 and ups got a plastic 18usg tank,anything older got the 16g steel tank.

Yeah we do, I've tripped it twice on my way to the gas station about 2 blocks away.

Yep, its a "check gauges" light.. and where's this info coming from about an 18gal tank? I've run out of gas in my '02 v6 and pumped ~16.5gal back into it..

BTW I got a check guages at the track when I let it go to low.

so how low is check gauges? Should I risk going that low? or is that like a "ha, idiot you waited this long, go get your shoes your walking to the gas station now" type deal...like my 96 where the moment it hit the red line the car shut off lol
