It's a 2000 Firebird. 3.8l with manual transmission. One owner, garage kept, and only 47,000 Miles. It was a steal and couldn't turn it down. It's Burgundy and the interior looks like it's never been sat in.

Re: New addition to the Fbody Family!
Yea it's been a while but I lurk the forums here 'n there. Since then, my teal RS was t-boned and totaled, then I got a 96 forest green 5speed 3.8 and blew that motor at 155k miles, then I got the 2000 v6 camaro that has had nothing but throttle body issues and wiring harness has now failed at 220k miles. I just can't get away from the 3.8L since I know them in and out and this little diamond in the rough couldn't be turned down for $3500,no accidents, one owner, and only 47k miles on the odometer. I'm still here, just super busy fixing to graduate and get internships going and all that fun stuff. It's crazy, I still remember all you guys from those good ol' days and it's good to be back.96 Camaro M5. Re: New addition to the Fbody Family!
Thanks. Unfortunately, I won't be going mod crazy on this one other than the free mods and MAYBE drop the suspension a little. Up close in person the paint shows the age of a 14 year old car in Florida. There's a couple blemishes in the clear coat on the front and rear bumper but that doesn't bother me at all. Mechanically, she is sound and tight. Should be good for a solid 5+ years considering I barely have to drive to get to school and work. I was shocked to see the low amount of mileage. I wonder how many of these f-bodies are still around with under 50,000 on it.96 Camaro M5. Re: New addition to the Fbody Family!
It is very clean, but has some minor issues. It was 250 miles from my location so my parents had to do the test drive. I trusted them when they said it ran and drove great, and it does, but the owner before hand didn't know how to drive stick. Apparently he/she liked to ride the clutch, so at 47k miles, I'm stuck having to replace the clutch assembly/tob/slave cylinder. The motor is super clean with no signs of leaks anywhere but when I press the clutch pedal in, i get that unwanted scraping sound of the throw out bearing eating away at the pressure plate fins. I posted in the drivetrain section about this but I figured here would help as well.
For the slave cylinder/TOB, ACDelco is the one I want right? advance auto has it for (if I remember correctly) $80. I have done my searches and everyone says get GM replacement slave cylinder. NewGMparts.com has the slave/tob for $148 but that seems a little high. Any thoughts on the ACDelco OEM replacement from advance auto?96 Camaro M5.
