  • I hate Dodge!!!

But I just bought a jeep

Well, at least I put a deposit down on one so I'll save the celebrations until I have both sets of keys in my hand...

1999 4.0L Jeep Sahara TJ - 4" lift kit, 32" mudders...came with a whole bunch of goodies to

I'm super pumped, I want to do some off-roading, but this will serve as my main winter beater now!

I'll get some pics up when I upload them to my site...I still can't upload pics on here for some reason!

Nice, at least you got the 6 cylinder. Is it a 4X4, either way it should do good off roading.

yup- 4x4- came with a brand new 6.5hp winch, and a little tow strap off road kit lol

I haven't really off-roaded before aside from an ATV, so should be fun to learn...hopefully I don't flip the damn thing! :stp:

Yeah, don't go rock climbing and flip it, LOL I just go mainly on off roads to go shooting. I've climbed some pretty good hills though with a crazy incline.

How much did you pay for it (or better said, how much will you pay for it) and how many miles does it have?

$3,800 and the jeep has 101,000 miles on it. That price included a brand new never installed winch, the mounting plate, all 3 tops (hard, soft (convertible), and bikini) along with an offroading package with new wheel bearings, straps, etc.

32" mud tires and a 4.5" lift...the shocks say "explorer" on them so I am assuming it is the pro comp lift.

Only issues with it are a bit of rust on the front fender (typical) but it is still solid, the blower motor functions intermittently I believe is what he said (Im guessing a relay, but won't know until I look into it) and the ignition switch is worn I guess...you can pull the key out of the ignition while its running lol.

Other than that it is solid...bone stock TJ's with the same mileage or more and in worse shape are selling between 5-8k around here, so I think it was a pretty solid buy.

only thing is I havent driven it above about 30mph because we couldnt leave the complex (jeep was unplated)...seems like it shifts ok at that low a speed, and no noises, but who knows if it has this "death wobble" I have been reading about....stupid dodge  ....I'll find out soon though!

good thing is, the price I paid for it, if I decide that it isnt for me, I should be able to no problem recuperate all costs. The guys phone wouldn't stop ringing the entire time I was there looking at it (2 hrs) and he had about 50 emails...I was lucky I caught him when I did, it would have sold no problem yesterday
