Alright I am looking at buying a different car today and its exactly what we want, excellent condition (and I mean perfect paint to like new interior) but...
Carfax shows;
This shows only "Accident Reported"; nothing else. Even the fine print in the report states it should classify the type and extent of damage.
Now I cant imagine its too bad considering how the second owner had it for another 6 years.
He just got back to me on it and it turns out I incorrectly assumed the owner would not had known the previous owner; apparently even lives just down the road.
Owner relayed the message, stating the correct year of 2006, that it was backed into while he was in a store. Broke passenger side tail and dented and scuffed the bumper. Had light replaced and dent removed and repainted bumper.
Got it for 2700. More wrong with it than the guy cared to admit. AC compressor is noisy as all hell. Had to replace EGR. Hi beam adapter plastic thingy is gone so no hi's. And just discovered what looks like copper RTV in the radiator. Tranny overfilled and bubbling. Esh! Sexy car tho. Ill be making the post here in a minute.

bah damn lol. i got the vin saved so that i can find it now so next time im car shopping and car faxing ill have to check lol. id love to track it down just to see what kind of condition its in now after all these years. i got a feeling its been beat to sh1t or totaled by now though, it wasnt exactly on fresh legs when i traded in thanks to some bastards breaking into it and tearing it to hell in the process, not to mention it was right at 100k miles and got driven hard by me for a good chunk of those miles
