I still have the Holden - but that project is on hold. Actually, intake tests were done using both the Holden and our intake - and ours was better. I'll post the link later.

Right now I want to finish my 99+ intake mod, and get it installed. THIS mod will not require any PCM changes, and will be a factory "plug and play" for ALL the sensors, and have PCV system oil removal.

No PCM changes in the sense that nothing has to trick any sensors, or no PCM changes in the sense that gains are so minor that tuning is not needed?

Post the link- I am curious on the read

Quit bragging mine sits at 2908 with me in it, 1/2 tank, full roll cage, and 200 lbs of lead
That's great- first numbers you've actually posted up...except mine had all safety related features still in the car from the crashbars to the air bags...hell I even had the carpet and headliner still in. You missed the part that if you sat in the car you would have zero clue any reduction was done. I also had a Ford rear end among other things weighing me down...so if that was meant to "wow" me- it hasn't

Like I said - it will be a "plug & play" - everything plugs in and works as designed by GM, and came from the factory. :D

            Nope. :)

Just been trying to come up with a way a 99+ UIM could be installed easily and as cheap as possible - without having to bastardize the engine operation with a aftermarket PCM and ignore the IAC valve - which is how it's been done in the past.

haha, how did i know captain racecar driver would show up in the thread and change the ****ing subject.

                stop talking

i had a 3.4 and a series 1 supercharged 3.8. both were pretty reliable. the 3.8 ticked over 340k miles. i tried everything to kill that damn thing for about 10k miles before it finally gave in and threw a rod.

You just need a throttle body from a fwd 3.8 the iac valve is on the throttle body. Two bottom bolts will line up, you just have to tap the intake for the top bolt and BAM

                    True - sort of.

It's not that simple - as the top doesn't line up - nothing to bolt to. And there are other issues.

Have you seen the IAC housings they make now? Barbed fittings on them and can use the GM IAC motor.

More complicated and more work than necessary - but still interesting.
