  • What can I use to cut a club?

I went out of the country for several weeks and I came back this weekend to find that the keys to my mini-truck has disappeared.

I have a spare thank goodness, but the club is attached to the steering wheel. I hear this thing is very hard to remove and it's made out of solid steele. I bought this thing for $60 bucks back in the 90's. It was one of the most expensive one back then.

Is there anything I can use to cut this thing off?

If not then I might just try and remove the steering wheel.

Sawzall or grinder with a cutting disc maybe? Maybe pull the steering wheel off first if you can, pretty much any steel cutting tool is going to make a mess or let sparks fly and you don't want that inside a car...

I would just call a locksmith and have them come out and make another key.

Abrasion blade on a $15 harbor freight angle grinder. Wet beach towel, eye protection & a couple of beers. What could possibly go wrong.

I'd say a cutoff wheel would likely make short work of it...possibly drilling the lock out could work to

I'm more likely to remove the wheel now. Since this is an '80's truck I don't have to worry about airbags. This is a good excuse for me anyway to get one those Grant Steering Wheels.
