So I'm the original owner of my car, bought it new in December 1995. I still have gm goodwrench lifetime warranties on most of my parts on the car like a/c compressor , alt, water pump and starter. I did have the on the injectors , shocks and some other parts but after modding the car I lost track. So who else is the original owners of their F-body? I still can't believe its been 20 years now.

Re: Original owners
I'm the original owner of mine as well. I still have the sticker price and even the card of the guy who sold it to me. It's hard to believe I've had it for almost 18 years. It still looks better than most cars out there and it can beat them too.

And this summer I need to get another a/c compressor so it will be on the 5th or 6th one. Your right about how they look, I wouldn't drive anything other than my car. I finally cleaned it up over the weekend and took a short trip. In a couple of months I'll have the heads redone and the new cam in and then I can drive it more. I'm still taking slow because of the new 3500 stall.Last edited by ssms5411; 02-12-2016, 12:38 PM.08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake

Re: Original owners
Do you do most of your mods yourself, Steve? I wish I live closer to someone like you. I know you have a heart condition that prevents you from working on your car for a long time period. I wouldn't mind coming over and helping you out with your build. That's the best way to learn.
I left my birds at my parents' house in Calif. So I haven't seen them in a while. They are collecting dust. The fuel pump is almost out on the 89 and I notice on my 4th gen that the fuel pressure went down from 38-40 to 34-36psi, so that means the fuel pump might be going out soon too.
I moved to Nevada hoping to start a new life here. I found out that you have to get an annual smog here vs. the bi-annual one in Calif. I'll find out soon if they are just as strict. I hope NOT!!!
No smogging is requires in N. Las Vegas though, but to live there is really bad. The area is not good.

Re: Original owners
I try to do my mods myself but ever since my stroke 10 years ago it gets harder and harder esp. since my back is really bad. But I will do the T-top conversion myself and the LS1 front upgrade myself when I get the cam done. Then its time to work on the turbo. I hope you like Nevada, I don't think any state is as strict as California so I think you'll be alright. I learned most of the stuff by my dad who worked for GM for 40 years and just watching and asking questions with the mechanics who worked witb my dad. Yeah it does sound like the fuel pump just do the trap door method, I was nervous at first but after I made tbe cuts and saw the tank I was more confident in doing it. That was 14 years ago.lol.08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake

It was a Virginia car that I bought from a dealer in Columbus, OH. I think the owner didn't like how it handled in the snow. :) Raven will be 20 this June.

Re: Original owners
40k Miles on my 2002 RS. Poor car lives on less than 1/2 tank of gas a year, and doesn't get detailed, it gets dusted.
I got offered $3500 in trade-in a couple years ago. I figured since they made less 500 RS's, and I had space in the garage, it was worth keeping around. CAMAROS
