Did the pictures come through on the last post?

I can't see them but when I go to edit the post, they show up, so idk.

I think 2 more weekends of work or so. This weekend coming up we will try to get it back in the car. Then we are out of town for a weekend, then we will try to finish it up the third weekend.

Can anyone point me to a guide for using newer 98+ calipers on a 93-97 spindle? I keep reading that you can cut them and make it work, but I haven't found any pictures or instructions. I could order new spindles if it looks sketchy, but if it's not terribly hard, I'd like to modify them.

Yeah , I would just get 98+ spindles that’s what I did and it went smoothly. Maybe eBay or junk yard. Also check Hawks Motorsports they have a lot of F body parts. It’s a nice upgrade.

              She’s alive!!!!

it wants to idle at 2000 rpm though. Not sure why. Could be a vacuum leak or who knows! Any ideas?

As for the high idle check throttle cable make sure it’s closing all the way . Check IAC and vacuum lines.

Remove and clean the Idle Air Control valve in the UIM. It can stick.

Replaced the IAC and TPS sensor and we got her idling like a dream. I forgot how good that cam sounds!

Took her in her first drive and only 2 issues now.
Steering shaft rubs on the drivers side header.
Rear end makes noise. I suspect it’s empty. Will pull it apart and clean it and re-seal and fill it this week.

                      Almost there!

That’s cool, glad it’s running. Too bad about the driver side header rubbing hopefully it’s not too bad.

You should replace the "rag joint" with the all steel 98+ coupling - but HAVE to also replace the steering rack with 98+ - I did this mod years ago.

Yes I did the same with the steering rack going from 16.9 to 14.1 ratio is really noticeable. Just a a FE2 or FE4 steering rack I think for the 14 ratio.
