I have court on Thursday ... stupid cops ...

Put the plate on your air dam underneath the car. Even though its still illegal, I have yet to be bothered for it, but of course, I dont go mouthin off to cops either... [img]tongue.gif[/img] . They may be a little more lenient since its at least on the car and can be seen just fine standing back from the car.

And wannabe, I think it does look dumb with a giant black piece of plastic bulging out the front of my car to hold the plate. But thats my opinion.

Well for someone who drives the speedlimit and doesn't **** around - yeah, I do have a lot of confidence. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to not get a ticket - its real simple. I've never even had a cop look at my car. Just dont drive like a tool and it will save you a lot of money in the future.

Well, he made it a moving violation, a $75 fine and he took my license. I can scan the ticket and show you, if for some reason, you don't believe me.

Holy crap! Do you guys have nothing better to do with your time then be rude to me? If any of you were smart, you'd realize that I am in no way complaining about getting the actual ticket. Ya, it's a law to have a front plate in IL (stupid law, but still, a law). I was going to get one sooner or later ...

However, this is my first ticket ... and the only reason I am so pissed about it is because #1 - He made it a moving violation. I was under the impression that it wasn't ... and #2 - Everyone else was missing their front plates, but because I was defending myself when he was screaming and swearing at me (he could have just said "Hey guys, time to leave!" but instead he said "Get in your fu*king cars and get the hell out of here!") And then get gets angry because I wasn't leaving ... I couldn't! He was blocking me in the parking space! I was just trying to tell him that I couldn't go anywhere, and he just kept yelling "Get in your fu*cking car, leave now!"

So, instead of jumping to conclusions and immediately thinking that I am just being a *****, why don't you just ask me why I was being rude to the cop, ask why I am complaining.

I have never been to court ... I was hoping for some kind words ... but I guess I posted on the wrong board for that ... thanks guys ...

Look up the laws for your state...they are easily accessible on the internet most of the time. I know illegal tint is a moving violation when I was in Oregon and the fine was $237. If you are driving in your car...most things are moving violations.

I think you are complaining!

I got a ticket about a month ago for ... get this ... no front plate! The cop was an @$$hole and was pissed cuz I was giving him attitude when he was trying to kick us (about 150 cars, the majority with no front plate) out of the local 'car hang out' spot. Anywho, he made it a moving violation (a $75 ticket) and took my license as bond or whatever. So, I took pics of my car with the front plate on (ductaped of course, I'm not putting a front plate on!) and I'm hoping they will just drop the stupid ticket.

That sounds like complaining to me. Anyone else agree?

It's a cop, you can't defend yourself unless your in court. Otherwise your just going to get yourself into trouble as you did. Do the crime do the time. I should know ;)
