  • just talked to a guy about getting a warrant officer slot in the VA national guard

VA is in such supply of WO's that they ran an ad campaign during summer AT lol. I talked to the guy and the only obstacle I can see is passing the run on my PT test(I can't run for ****). Other that that I already have one up on most other people as I already have a security clearance. There are about 35-40 slots that need to be filled. The worst of those two are pilots(5) and network guys(9). The guy found out I was interested in aviation and he practically offered me a chance at flight school. I can't believe this. This is awesome.

And for anyone who cares I am an E-4 and my current job is calling in artillery rounds.( fire support specialist ) ;)

BTW anyone have suggestions of how to drop my run time? any help would be most appreciated.

drop your run time??? run more. leg workout at the gym for endurance. then run some more. the more you prep the better you'll do. Oh yeah, watch "Behind Enemy Lines" & "Black Hawk Down" to get psyched. ;)

what do you guys have to do for the run? We have to run a mile and a half- to get the max points for the running portion, we need to run it in like a 9:30

yeah laziness will kill you. I don't think I have ran at all since last summer. I guess that makes my 20 min 2 mile not too bad for not running for an entire year. only need to cut 4 1/2 minuets. sounds very doable in say, 6 weeks at the most?
