so... the other day this kid i met w/ an old 'stang started rippin on me cuz the 4th gen camaros have those plasic front fenders and door panels. i kinda agreed with him at first that steel is better than plastic, then i was thinkin about it and i've bumped a billion things with the front end of this car while parkin it and i've had a few things hit the doors too, and i'm really thinkin that i like the plastic better than steel for no reason other than the fact i have no dents or anything on the plastic pieces of my car. what do you guys think?

**** i prefer my "composite" fenders...
all the little dings on my car are only on the metal parts -Eric
2000 NBM V6 Camaro 5-speed T-top converted
14.467@95.45mph $0 in mods
The member formerly known as MustangEater8251

i like the front fenders being plastic. one time i hyrdoplaned and went into a guard rail on the highway on the driver's side. the door and rear fender was ****ed, but the front fender only had paint scratched off.1995 Bluish green 3.4l Camaro.
Bone stock right now lol!
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2042355

yea the more I think about it, The more I like the plastic/composite.
its also easier to mold and allows for some nice looking designs on cars.1996 3.8 A4 Firebird
Pic 1|Pic 2|Pic 3

Custom CAI, Flowmaster, Transgo shift kit/corvette servo.

I hate metal body parts. It dents easily and its hard to fix. Plastic/fiberglass parts are so much easier to work on.1997 Camaro Y87. Turbo.
Pure Octane Racing

I'd rather have steel body panels. I hate how the paint on my bumper is spidered and how my doors have cracks in the paint from door dings and also some gouges. I also like the fit and finish a lot better on steel pannels. I do hate dents but its not too bad since I work at a dealership and I can get the PDRS guy to pop them for cheap. But by looking at the survey it looks like I'm on my own with all of this. When I think plastic, it just makes me think Saturn, which isnt a good thing.

Spidered paint is better than rust spots if you ask me.
Also comparing our cars to Saturns... I think the place I got my front clip from when I crashed had the same feeling, because they sent us Saturn parts the first time. ;)\'96 A4 Camaro 3800
Nothing but...
Flowmaster 40 series
