woops, paper + heater =?

well i got suspened from school for at least 10 days , if not expelled , for sticking a peice of paper in the heater at school tuesday. I didnt want it to catch fire , but it did and so did all the dust and crap ( peoples notebooks and books and stuff ) and well it was bad. I have a meeting tomoro ( thursday ) with the school and police and what not. i got 4 fire departments and 2 police people there in 8 minutes. but seriously, i didnt mean to do it i was just being lazy and didnt feel like walking down the hole hall just to trow something away. :(

Yeah just tell them your sorry, it was an accident.

They can't expell you for that. If you want you could even fight them if they try to suspend you. Unless you just want a vacation. I mean seriously what would they do if you just showed up at school then refused to go home. They can't physically throw you out. Between me and my little brothers, we found out real quick if you drop the "lawyer" bomb the school's attitude towards a situation changes real quick.

I was one of the class clowns in school, and my teacher "1st year band teacher" decided to pick on several of the kids giving him problems. Well he called me "nicky" then laughed at me in front of the class. And then grabbed my arm and "placed" me in the corner. He left a huge bruise, I was just in 7th grade. So I picked up my trombone and took it over his back.

So I call my dad tell him what happened, he talks to the principal on the phone, the principal told my dad the teacher was talking about pressing charges. So they get off the phone principal said "your dad's on his way down here, stay here"

Well I sat there for almost 2 hours before my dad got there. When we only lived 5 minutes away. But when he gets there he has his lawyer buddy. They and the principal come in, my dad's lawyer friend pulls out a camera, lifts my sleeve on my shirt and takes a picture of the bruise. Then says "if he wants to press charges, it would only affect what my client decides to do" I loved it, the principal just stood there for a couple seconds then, said let me go talk to him, left. Came back couple minutes later and said "he has agreed to not press charges, but Nick isn't allowed back in band class" Lawyer looks at my dad, he nodds and says "and nick won't be punished any further either" Principal said ok, but warned I'd be in real trouble if anything like that ever happened again.

Plus I have 2 little brothers so everyone knew who their parents were when they got there.

I always had a problem with autority in school, not because they are the authority but all through school they never looked at the students like people. I even told my senior english teacher "if you can't give me respect, there is no way in hell I'm going to respect you." I got a pink slip for that one. But the principal ripped it up for me.

Sorry just ranting on your thread sorry, do whatever you feel is right.

i have seen worse, kid in 9th grade was a genius and decided to see if an electrical outlet worked.He stuck a paper clip intot he socket and whamo big poof of smoke no power and his hand all crispy looking. He just sat there, teach thought he was in shock cause he didnt move or say anything for like 15 mins till the ambulance got there. No power for 4 days while they replaced every socket connected to the same line and all the breakers in the basement.

Ditto about the paper clip. A buddy of mine way back in 8th grade decided to do that. Then as the thing got orange and realized it wouldn't be smart to pull it out with his hands (moron) he grabs it with a piece of paper. It catches the paper on fire, and causes a short brown out. The teacher smelled the smoke, and where he stomped it out on the tile, it litterally engraved and evidence piece on the tile. He got written and 3 days of in school suspension for it. But that was 7 years ago now, and back when hippies didn't get all paranoid about kids doing stupid *** things.

If I was an admin at your school, I would have you evaluated and if you were determined to be a typical dumbass kid like we all were, I'd probably just throw you in I.S.S. for a week...and make you wear a hat that said "Hey look, I'm the idiot who thought paper wouldn't burn when heat was applied!"

they school thinks i lit it on fire and then put it in the heater. i was wondering why they searched me. but c'mon how could i lite it and then still get it though a ( roughly ) quater inch grate outside the heater. and even if i did some how get it in ( paper burns fast i wouldn't have had time ) it would go out by the time it hit the floor ( prolly 3-1/2 foot drop ) i dunno im mad. the school phycalijist (sp) is hot, i mean REAL hot. shes only 22 too. so the heater had so much crap in it already that it substained a fire???? sounds like you need to mention that to someone. that can be considered a fire hazard to have a bunch of dust and other crap inside a heater, they need to clean them out ;) get my drift?
