Families Bury Cars to Get New Ones

Imagine if we treated relatives this way: two families, one in Philly and one in L.A., will receive new Dodge Magnum R/T wagons because they were willing to bury their old family vehicles in their yards. The Rosenfelds of Hacienda Heights, California, and the Dooners in Morton, Pennsylvania, each responded to contests advertised in June that gave the Magnums as a prize for deep-sixing the existing cars. The Rosenfelds sunk a '98 Camry, while the Dooners buried a '97 Mercury Mountaineer. Both families bid farewell with mock funerals, complete with pallbearers, a procession and a tombstone bearing the fateful inscription "Rust In Peace."

ROFL! I actually think the Magnum is a really cool concept, kinda like the SS 454 Chevelle wagons of back in the day. There are a couple guys around here who have those with chrome rims that'll light up some fires at a stoplight!

Should a Solstice and Equinox collide some time in the future, don't be surprised if they cancel one other out and both simply vanish like matter meeting anti-matter. Dear God, let's just hope the planet can withstand such a catastrophe.
      ROFL!

We realize what the Magnum is, don't we? A station wagon?

I think the car is a waste of a perfectly good engine. Its a freaking wagon for god's sakes, even the name wagon sounds gay. "I drive a wagon". Ive heard it on the streets too and didn't sound as good as they make it sound in the commercials.

But to each his own I guess...

Hell, I'm 32, married, and have a 6 week old son. I'm looking at the Magnum this weekend. ALOT faster than the 6-banger F-Body I have now and looks great in my opinion. there was a factory recall on the Magnum though.

                        Hell, with a 345hp hemi I hope it's faster than a v6 F-body.

No joke, the Philly one is buried not one mile from my house. Its funny. The sad thing is that the family didnt even really NEED it. The guy has owned two brand new Vipers before, and sold them cause his 2nd kid came along. So whats he NEED to be given a Magnum for?

oh, and even better is that the Magnum is gonna be made into a coupe and will be issued with a Police Package in the near future, so watch out for some Crown Vic competition.

I personally like the Magnum, especially with the Hemi. I think that wagons definitely are cool again, and I really like the style a lot more than all those minivans and disguised minivans (SUVs) out there. You stand out from the crowd... then leave it behind. If I had kids to haul around, I would definitely buy a Magnum.
