Driving With Screens On?

This question is directed to the people on this forum with LCD screens installed in their vehicle. Question is do you guys drive with them on or what?

I *think* the law here in houston is no screens can be in drivers view while car is in motion. I wonder what the fine is? Reason i ask is BC i recently picked up an indash, and its tempting to drive with the LCD out.

i dont have one in my car, but i put one in my roomate's car almost a year ago, he drives with it up all the time, he hasnt had any trouble as of yet

we are from southern illinois, i know its illegal here, and he still hasnt had trouble

dont forget you gotta have the wire for the parking brake grounded or it wont come on when you dont have the brake set

yea it has 2 ground wires, one ground wire is "suppose" to go to the parking brake so that the driver cant watch the screen unless the ebrake is on.

I dont drive with mine on, partly since they're in my visors I cant see jack with my visors down, as well as being up so high its very easy for police to catch you. You cant have em on while the vehicle is in motion. but, if you have it below your window line I see no problem with it, as long as your not watching a dvd or anything. just using it as your fm tuner or something should be fine. dont be stupid with it, and if a cop pulls next to you. You know the law, flip it off. or dont do it, simple as that.

In PA it depends on whats being displayed (No lie) aka - Navigation info is fine. Movies - Bad news.

My GPS has a real dark setting so it doesnt bother me that much, plus I have it down low in the cup holder so I adjust it to a down low.
