My cousin went thought the new UIT campus in Mooresville, NC. The day after he graduated he got a job fabricating car chassis for nascar. He said the place was awesome. I am playing with the idea of going there, but that remains to be seen.

Tuition is kinda expensive but they really help you out with getting grants, scholarships, and any loan you need so it works out pretty well. But its roughly in the 20$ thousands for the entire thing. As for how long it takes, it really depends, they have so many different programs you can choose from. Im in the automotive and diesel program right now, they also have just auto, Ford FACT, and some industrial ones to. In total I think they have about 10 different programs you can pick all varying in length. My program is 64 weeks if I remeber correctly. The classes are set uo in phases, so every 3-4 weeks you will learn about engines only, then you will move to automatic trannys, then to suspensions, then to diagnostics and so on. Its pretty cool, if your into cars you will love it. Feel free to ask any questions if you have anymore.-Chris
2001 Pewter Camaro M5
Current Mods: NOS Dry Kit and a few others
N/A: 15.5@88.9MPH
N2O: ???
http://www.cardomain.com/id/jtusa69888

They can help you find housing if you need it, but it mostly up to you. They can set you up with room mates if you need it though.-Chris
2001 Pewter Camaro M5
Current Mods: NOS Dry Kit and a few others
N/A: 15.5@88.9MPH
N2O: ???
http://www.cardomain.com/id/jtusa69888

i spoke to uti in rancho cucamonga on my lunch break, they seemed to be a great place with assistance in housing and financial, as well as bmw, ford, toyota(i think) recruit people still there and possibly pay for their school, i live in ventura county , californya, and have a family so i cant relocate to nashville, as nice as that would be.
tuition starts at 20K92 25th rally sport garage baby, 97 30th rally sport, 01 camaro garage baby. obsessive compulsive camaro fan. id rather push a camaro then drive a rice burner.

Yea thats about it. But I forgot to mention and you just touched on it a bit, qualified Technicians are in such demand right now, that most of them love hiring grads from these schools. So they will ad tuition reembersment to your benifits to pay off your loans. If you work it right you could get the entire thing paid off for you. UTI is also really helpfull getting you grants ans scholarships. You mentioned you where in the Navy with a GI bill so thats less you will have to pay. If you decide this is what you want its pretty cool. Two Thumbs up :D-Chris
2001 Pewter Camaro M5
Current Mods: NOS Dry Kit and a few others
N/A: 15.5@88.9MPH
N2O: ???
http://www.cardomain.com/id/jtusa69888
