Skittles!

    Skittles is a Purple (technically Amethyst) 2000 Dodge Neon, 5-spd … 61K miles … half the price of blue-book & a warrenty. :D

The purchase and delivery of this car was almost as much of a trial as getting my car to actually run a good quarter-mile.

Thanks goes to James (12secV6, duh) for test driving the white 1998 neon in NJ … which I didn’t get because this one has a Tach!

To MisterJuice for a bunch of reasons relative to the car listed above. The weekend I was intending to take delivery of the vehicle, I couldn’t get anyone to drive me to NJ. Boon offered up the second half of his home garage to keep Path out of the weather until I would have been able to come back up to get him! … But on top of that, he also took off work that Friday so we could make sure my ‘bird was happily tucked in and the Neon was all the dealer said it was cracked up to be (for $1500.00). And then, I over slept and didn’t make it to NJ at all. – Boon, you own and I owe you! ... and Neon is good .... but SRT-4! (Thanks for letting me drive that thing!)

To my folks for giving me a loan to cover the price of the car … which absolutely blows my mind because they’ve never offered me money before … in my life!

And to Stefan – who was kind enough to drive me to PA not once, but twice for this car. The first time we didn’t get the car … because the banks were closed when we got there. The second time was last night … we arrived back in VA after Midnight. Good times Stefan – good times! … and I’ve got 0.2 liters on you.

Well the white one was named "Snack" - this one's the same color as a purple skittle. (laugh)

In answer to your question - are you serious?! Think about how much money that would take from the "Make Path Faster Fund"!

Quick question... are Neons good in the snow? I've been looking for a cheap truck/SUV, but I know I could get a Neon or an Escort for a winter car. So how are they in that cold, white, devil powder?

I've driven mine w/ factory tires in Vermont snow.

I've been VERY satisfied with mine in the snow so far.

Cheap car that is great in the snow

oh - and forgot to mention - schooled a Mustang on the way home - this little car is tight!

"Taste the rainbow" was the only thing that almost kept me from picking that name! LOL

I'm getting a custom plate frame and some rear window stickers for it... but I'm not going to discuss those right now.
