I've met some people who are now pretty good friends through different message boards. There are good people out there.
Have you talked on the phone at all? Anyone can make themselves look and sound good through the internet. On the phone is a little harder, but in person is where you get the chance to know the real them. It's possible, just be careful on falling to much for her before you meet her.
