LOL heyya Jerriko, I live in CT and just missed that steal of a deal for $650 you recently acquired. I have an idea if that 96 is an automatic, i'll trade ya my 91 V6 Firebird. I'll try to post pics on it soon thru my camera cellphone as i'm fairly new to this club. The Firebird has 252k on it and runs superb. Just an idea for now if youre having options lately.

Oops, I just re-read that your 96 is a 5 speed. Guess I got excited too soon lol. I'm looking for a car for my GF & she does not believe in manual transmissions as she wants to punch it and go. I'd say tinker with the 96!

I guess some of the people on this board wish the last presidential elections were as decisive as this poll. :D I was going to AIS w/ the 3.4L but if I keep the Camaro, the 3.4L is history and then AIS is questionable.

i say camaro but what kind of title does the maro have and is it in full working order or does it just need paint?? If i were you I'd carry the turbo over to the camaro if its possibe.
Is this for like a daily driver or a project? Isnt the third gen lighter then the 4th gen?

Newer and lighter with a bigger engine> older and heavier with a smaller engine..

The third gen was my driver and project wrapped into one as would the 4th gen be. The 4th gen needs some minor fixes, lh power door lock switch, floor console armrest, etc. Small stuff. The engine doesn't bother me since I would be putting in a fresh race built 3800 from my brother (long story). I just wish it was a 96 Firebird cause it would be automatic. But its a Camaro. ;) I have been driving it around and it handles and brakes better than the third gen. It's slower than a turd since it has a miss and possible head gasket problems but it still reaches 110mph. The best thing it has going for it is that it has T-tops. I have a thing for T-tops.

I say, just focus on the 3rd gen. You got that thing going already. Why waste a good thing.

Plus 3rd gen. Firebirds are becoming rare. Camaros are all over the place.

Ofcourse it would always be great if you could keep both. If not then keep the 3rd gen Firebird.

I'd go with the 4th gen, and defintitely with the t-tops...

t-tops are worth it!

Go with the 4th gen, so much more potential for a 3.8.
