  • having a little crisis and really need some help!

I posted a few days ago that I finally had a job and was moving to dallas next week (3.5 hrs away) well so far I still plan to do that but I had a problem coming back yesterday and I think my cluch master cylinder just took a dump on me. I'm having trouble building pressure to make the clutch fully release.

At this moment I have a master cylinder on order which should be here tomorrow but if that's not the problem and it's in the slave clyinder I have to drop the tranny. Well at this very moment I just don't have time to do that with trying to move and everything else thats going on around here (read: hurricane refugees everywhere and dont' know if I'm gonna be able to buy gas to fill up a uhaul)

so I think I might just trailer the car to dallas and get it fixed there if need be. Can ANYONE recommend a shop in the dallas area if I have to get this done?!?!?! somewhere that will do the job right and not rip me a new one!?!?

I would have tried the venom IV forum but it seems to be prettymuch dissolved so please mods don't move this thread there.

what exactly is your clutch doing? i had to replace mine. its not that hard, you need two people, and it was kinda time comsuming.

the clutch isn't releasing fully when the pedal is depressed, with some pumping I can make it mostly relase enough so that when it's in gear with the clutch in and the car on jackstands I can hold the wheel with my hands but feel the clutch trying to catch. This has all led me to thik that my master cylinder is toast. I managed to go home for lunch and get it off, well all except for crawling underneath and undoing the quick connect on the slave cylinder. New master cylinder should be here in the morning and I have a hand pump to bench bleed the new master.
          BUT
if it requires dropping the tranny I'm gonna have to pay somebody due to total lack of time
