• Its ALIVE!!!

    after the last week of back & forth with my new toy (98 camaro m5 conversion car) I finally got it up and running tonight. Driving will be left for another day when I get the remainder of the exhaust parts and figure out of the m5 thats in it now works or if its trash. I sent for a used 95 starter from a 3.8 fbody but it didnt work on my 98...looks like there was a VERY slight wiring change between the years which prevents you from using it without splicing wires & such so I just opted to buy a rebuilt starter with a lifetime warranty...they cost an arm & a leg but the less trouble at this point the better.

        whoa whoa whoa...who said anything about road...lol I got it running thats all...I have to change the oil and get the rest of the exhaust on including the cutout plate so its not horribly obnoxious hehe...then I'll take it for a short test drive since I dont have insurance/registration for it yet

            doh.... and a car doesn't have to have exhasut to be on the road

              its not your fault...the starter is 99% identical...but because of the placement of the soleniod on the starter the wiring of it changes by 2-3 inches which is what screws things up.

                </font>
for the most part your right...but with pacesetters, open cutout, high flow cat & no muffler and not enough hangers holding it up to where i feel comfortable it really needs that catback on there lol...my plans are few for the v6...some tuning and thats about it...suspension, gearing and all that stuff will be installed to get the car moving though.
