I've stopped wasting my time reading pointless arguments about our cars on V8 forums.

It's a pretty useless debate... it's just a term used in the 70's to describe some of the cars. Think about the cars today: you have 4cyl Subarus and EVOs running low 13's...but they aren't "muscle cars" huh? Again....useless..

Well, the industry is changing what they call muscle. http://www.lasvegassun.com/sunbin/st...517184230.html , they are calling civics muscle cars

Muscle car in my mind was a incredibly heavy car with a huge engine in it lol. Thus it needed the muscle to keep it moving ;)

like the new GTO... A musclecar was not a mustang or firebird ever... But a family car with a big engine fits the def pretty well, like the new magnum would qualify by me as a musclecar, or a new impy SS. Our cars and the v8s are definitely sports cars, because muscle cars are kinda getting outdated.

In my opinion there hasn't been a muscle car since the 80s. So most of the people on ls1.com can bite my *** if they want to think of themselves as "muscle cars" lol. Wannabe's

When I think of a sports car I think of F-bodies, Mustangs, Vettes.... I dont think about what motor is in it.. 3rd and 4th gen F-bodies are not muscle cars.. I own a 1979 Formula with a 6.6l.. That was the last year of muscle cars.. if the car doesnt weigh in at 4000 lbs and makes 350ftlbs of tq or more then its not a muscle car..

Who cares what other people have/think/run. Why not just enjoy you car and be happy with it.

A V6 is not a musclecar, but who the hell cares? "Musclecar" is an outdated '70s term. I think the criteria for musclecar include the following:

1. Big curb weight, in excess of 3500 lbs.
2. Big engine, V8 with at least 300 horsepower.
3. Very little handling capability, but much straight-line go power.

Under those criteria, an LS1 f-body isn't a musclecar either, because it actually handles decently. There are exceptions, obviously, like the Grand National, which many consider to be a muscle car, and I'm not saying that ALL musclecars have crappy handling either.

I have changed my exhaust 8 damn times since owning the car and I can't find ANYTHING that sounds good
There's your problem, leave one system on for awhile and listen to how it breaks in!!!! Mine doesn't sound bad at all, much better than when I first put it on.

A V6 may not be a "musclecar", but it's a pretty good sport coupe.
