The first time I stopped on a hill with the rx-7, i decided to use the e-brake to stop me. I get a chance to go, and the car won't move. I've got the clutch out, doing about 3-4k before my hand remembered to put the clutch down. Needless to say, I left a good 50ft treadmark leaving the movies

                </font>
Yea thats what comes to my mind when I hear the word herpes too ;)

                Hold break, release clutch till car starts to pull itself a little, release break and car should hold itself on the incline just fine, then hit the gas. Problem solved.

                    My uncle got mad cause i was 16 and couldnt drive manual so they told me we were going to grandmas and we were taking 2 cars cause my aunt was staying the night, then they drove me 59 miles from the house on a goofy back roads with lots of turns and then they left me with a manual car and told me to find my way home. i didnt have a map either.

                          umm if you know how you can slip the clutch to hold hold you on the incline with out using ANY BRAKES if you do it right you will NOT smoke your clutch

                          BTW try it with the stage 5 spec clutch hills and stoped are its only down fall, but i can hold that clutch for a year b/f my leg would start to shake lol

                            when I was a 5 spd novice, this is what I did on hills:

                            I would engage the handbrake, and start letting out on the clutch slowly, while slowly increasing throttle, as soon as I saw the engine bog(immediatley!) I would release the handbrake and launch normally.

                            That eliminated the pesky rollback on hills.
