I mean this was a bit different, though. This whole thing is horrible - but one of the things thats horrible about it is the fact that its so senseless. I mean, kidnapping an American w/ no real power to leverage against the Saudi government? The poor guy lost his life, and his family lost their loved ones in nothing less than a cold blooded killing. I mean, not even the most hardcore terrorist could justify this.

However, one thing that does need to be kept in mind is that we perceive these people as terrorists - but we need to fight them remembering that many people who may not totally agree with them see them as freedom fighters none the less.

True, but who's to say that freedom fighter is going about it in a way that will get results acceptable to others? There are many, many variables going on that not all are privy too, and mass bombing is not the answer, in fact it will make things worse & actually give those dogs the justification they so crave. Surgical strikes w/host nation support is the way to do it.
