1988 Mustang Saleen

One is for sale for $2,000 and he says it has 300 hp stock. It is a real Saleen to. The body has minor damage, not sure on any other specifics. I searched and there is not much info on this car on the net. It is rare though, less than 1000 made that year. So if anyone knows the specs of these things and how much they are worth I would appreciate your input. Thanks.

It doesn't have 300hp stock. It's more like 235hp stock I believe.

I think it would be worth buying. Because there's so aftermarket stuff for it. It's like you could build the car from the ground up.

Ya he added some high performance heads and stuff to make it 300 hp supposedly.

Doesn't Saleen add stuff when you send it to them? Unless he didn't get the engine upgrade, in which case he would have gotten the body mods or suspension upgrade?

honestly thats not too bad... even if it was a normal 5.0... if its in goood shape and everything.

Be sure its a Saleen and not just a 5.0 dressed up like one. Ask for documentation, if its a genuine orginal Saleen $2k isn't a bad deal even with minor body damage. Cars like that will be very collectable in the next 10 years.

honestly if its a good running 5.0, I think $2k ain't bad for it. Saleen or no.

It might be an lx converted into a saleen. I'd say $2,000 is worth it though.
