• Who says cammed cars aren't reliable???

13.8s on street tires at the strip.
Daily driven 30 minutes to the university, and 30 minutes home, to work and back etc.

Then on the weekends, I go cruising. Picture

Well, not really cruising, more like racing up mountains, and other curvy roads, with evos and wrxs, etc.

On stock suspension, I keep up pretty well.
Music blasting, AC on.

No leaks, no SES light.

I am happy with my car right now! :D

some cars are even DOUBLE cammed (ya know, DOHC) and are very reliable - even get good gas mileage.

Around 16-20 in the city (I drive it hard, use the a/c etc.)

Upwards or passed 25mpg on the freeway.

Untuned still. A tune will definately help the mileage. Thats with the 3.73s also.

btw - the best I ever got in the city stock was 20 mpg. Driving it the same way. With 3.23's.

Yes it is. We had an evo go off on the run I just got back from. Didn't hurt him, but damaged the front end of the car.
I stay mid-back of the pack so I know ahead of time where to slow down. The poeple that lead know the roads really well.

Wait wait, I don't understand the title of this thead.

Is there some ancient proverb saying "cammed" cars aren't reliable?

Steve (ssms5411) said he would help me out.
I am getting HPTuners as a "Christmas Gift", so I will mess around with tuning it myself.
Its not THAT hard.
Between Jeff and I, someone in Tucson will learn how to do it!
