Any of you guys will watch Farenhiet 9-11

I probably will or not, but I am not paying for it. This is one movie I plan on movie hopping and not sponsor or put money on Michael Moore's pocket.

The point of the movie is to be controversial and to make you angry at the Bush Admins.

The fact is Michael Moore has had a strong hatred towards the Bush family for something that they did to him a while back. Don't know the full story though, that's just what I heard.

He's an opportunistic azz with a chip on his overweight shoulder. He should shave his beard and stop looking like a sloppy reject who lives in his mother's house past the age of 30.

Aside from my off-topic opinions, no, I won't go see it. I know he messes with facts to further his own agenda. I saw a commercial for it and was infuriated at seeing him use footage of our soldiers during attacks to gain attention. Gawd that guy's a dirtbag...

This isn't to start a thread war, but honestly, how is that any different from Bush's administration using the same and similar 9/11 images for his ad campaign?


And to answer the question, I'll probably see it, but wait until it's on dvd... I've heard it's very good and doesn't distort facts too much - besides, there are always 3 sides to every story - his, hers, and the truth... (or in this case, Republicans, Democrats, and the truth)

token, I know you're not trying to start a war but there's a vast majority of the military forces who are proud to do our part to make America safe, and are just plain happy that we're being allowed to do what we're paid for (i.e. our jobs). So, that said I'm happy that Bush utilizes us in his campaign, but what has Moore (AKA Tubby Bastard) done for us aside from slander the professionalism of our forces? There's the difference.

I know - I'm married to one of them... as someone who gets to be left behind if he gets sent, my opinion might be slightly more skewed...

I actually meant his use of images of the dead being dragged out of Ground Zero that caused a huge uproar a while back.

As for Moore slandering the professionalism of the US Forces, I've never seen/read that so my apologies... I"ve only ever read one of his books so I'm not entirely sure of what all he has said...

Does anyone actually have an intelligent reason to hate Michael Moore? All I ever here is he's a f@ggot jackass, fat, whatever. But I have yet to hear an actual intelligent argument against the man. I love his movies, and while I don't agree with some of his opinions thats no reason to hate him. All he does is present facts, and he has a very good talent for doing so. So lets hear it, someone give me a thought out, non-redneck argument against the man and maybe I'll change my mind

I'll expand on my previous post. He is one of those people that I just don't like. There are people that do stuff to you, and people that just get on your nerves from the start. It's totally reasonable to not like someone when they are argumentative and try to make people mad just to do it or to show them in their worst light.

I just don't like him, perhaps a clash of personalities if you will. People with his abrasive overbearing sort of personality just irritate me.

i would like to see it. i liked the awful truth when it used to come on TV, but i didn't really like the way he patronized charlton heston in "bowling for columbine." not sure if it's because i'm a gun owner (but not an NRA member) or because the guy has alzheimer's; in either case i thought it was over the top.

No one can really prove anything bad about the president until 4 to 8 years after his terms. Thats when what they have done really shows up. Everyone that says Bush is doing a bad job. Well, wait 4-8 years after he is done. We will see what policies and bills he has signed and how they make differences. From what it looks like. Clinton F-d up. How did we elect Clinton in the first place? The guy dodged the draft, why did we want a President that runs away? Something is seriously wrong with our country.

Now off the the war picture. We need to support our president and our troops. No matter what.

There is too many anti war idiots out here that want us to back away and be puss*es. We should be supporting our troops. Saddam wasnt exactly a good guy, he only killed thousands of his own people. Why do people feel this war is unjust?

We need to step up and take over these countries. Anyone who opposes us should be killed. Obviously the countries in the middle east harbor terrorists, and the governments either don't care or they support the terrorists. That right there is saying that these countries are helping terrorists. What happens when the terrorists hit us again?

I bet if the USA was takin over by another country, 1/4 of this country would bow down on their knees to the new leader. These people have no respect for what America is.

As for the movie, I believe it is accurate, but it may turn out to be a big left wing show.

We may not like every decision Bush has made, but to critisize him for this war is wrong. Fight for your country or get out. Im tired of hearing the puss*es whine about this war. It's as just as it gets.

I hate michael moore... he scews info to get his point across. He films his stuff in the form of a documentry, but a documentry is to observe and not really have an opinion. Difference is Michael Moore, switches things around to get his point across. Thats why I hate him. I mean I even agree with some of his views but no the way he gives them. I hate dumbass propaganda type crap being fed to me so I will think a certain way, not based on the facts but because someone wants me to.

i hate him because he distorts reality inorder to further his own goals in life, as in his quotes that are gutted away from the intended meaning. i also hate him because of he slanders my president by saying that he is responsible for 911.

conserning the war on iraq, some intelligence cannot be released becuase it would be compromise the source of information, as was the case with the Rosenburg spy trail.
