Windows XP blocked all of his popups at the link from Fudds for me.
I agree with him that Fudds is trying to make money by using his site for free.I solemnly swear I am up to no good.

I can understand how he would be pissed, but instead of being an *******, why doesn't he just sue them. I'm quite sure he can walk away with enough money to not have to work again.
BTW, fuddruckers.com redirects to google for me, so it looks like someone caught it before it got way out of hand.

Sue them? What did they do wrong?
Fuddruckers merely *linked* his site. They didn't steal his content. They never, ever, once said that they made it. In fact, the flash game still has all his information on the front screen.
You guys are just jumping on the bandwagon. Fuddruckers did nothing wrong. Using your judgement, every site on the internet is guilty. I am guilty for linking to Slashdot, CNN and others.
Fuddruckers stole his bandwidth? He hosted the damn thing on the internet. What does he expect?
Honestly, he's just an arrogant webmaster who think's he tough for making a game about hamburgers (I didn't play it, so sorry if I'm wrong). He could've contact Fuddruckers' webmaster and requested they remove it and they probably would have.
Let's pretend, just for fun, that Fuddruckers would've done what this guy wanted. Let's say Fuddruckers downloaded his game and posted it on their site, on their own hosting. Then he'd be complaining that they stole his stuff.
Anyways, Fuddruckers did nothing wrong. They linked to his site and never claimed it was theirs. He needs to get his little ego in check.
It's just a hamburger game.97 Camaro
94 Blazer
~

But he pays for that bandwidth. OK, I'm not agreeing that what he did was correct, and I do think he took it a wee bit far with the slaughterhouse images. They are hotlinking (is that the correct term?) directly to the game, so as far as the end user knows, the game is hosted by Fuddruckers.
Noone's correct in this situation, but the owner of the (copyrighted) game should have taken the higher moral ground on this and asked for them to either pay him for the game and host it on their servers, or had them take down the link and reimburse him for the bandwidth expenses generated by their link.

Yes, but what difference would it have made if they would've linked his page rather then his flash swf? In fact, it would've actually cost him more bandwidth.
By your assumption, every site on the internet is guilty of this. Your .sig is guilty of it for linking fullthrottlev6. Slashdot.org, CNN.com, and whatever news sites out there are guilty for linking other sites. It's the internet. Sites are supposed to link to eachother.
I understand the hotlinking that they're doing, but they probably decided to do that only because his credits are still in the beginning of the game. I'm sure if his credits weren't there, his game wouldn't have been linked at all.
Anyways, like you said, both sides could've gone at this in a better fashion. It's a shame he had to do what he did, but I just don't want people thinking that he was a victim here. If anything, he's the bully 100%.97 Camaro
94 Blazer
~

If Fuddruckers made him/her aware they were using the game on their site (which I might add is a site that exists solely to enhance profits, this is a contributing factor to my opinion) and he/she agreed, then it wouldn't be a problem. None of the linking I do is to enhance anyone's ability to make profits. The game is on their site to show how "child friendly" they are, therefore convincing parents to bring their tots along, and in the process spending more money. See where I'm going with this?
Don't think I'm attacking your comments, I'm just further clarifying my position. I don't think I did it well enough in my first post. ;)Check out my stable of supercharged W-Bodies HERE
\'97 Pontiac GP GTP Coupe
\'98 Regal GS | L67 3800 Series II
