LOL...thats awesome...yeah emo is a type of music..its actually short for screamo...like punk rock music that uses both singing and screaming..or at some times both overlapping..REAL emo you wont find in any big music store..thats the retarded trendy sh*t..some underground music stores will carry good stuff..such as Avenged 7Fold, Atreyu, Stretch Armstrong, and Poison the Well...i've done guitar for a bunch of of Albany punk, emo, and mostly hardcore bands since about age 15 (im 24 now)..i prefer straight up hardcore..but there is some good emo out there...you just have to know how to find it [img]smile.gif[/img]

Actually you're wrong.. emo is short for emotional, screamo is screaming emo pretty much... either way, it's all crap. All they sing about it "I have no one to talk to, my love hates me, my parents don't pay enough attention to me, nobody likes me, boo-hoo" and all these 12-15 year olds listen to it and slit their wrists to it. It's stupid.

There are quite a few good emo bands. I listen to like every genre of music. The only emo band I really cared for alot was At The Drive-in. They by no means wrote about break ups and drama. I suppose it is one of those genres that you have to like from the moment you hear it, or you won't like it at all.

It's stupid. </font>[/QUOTE]well then most of the stuff i listen to is screamo..and actually none of the bands i mentioned write about that stuff at all..you're obviously looking in the wrong place for good music..but its easier for me bacause Albany is known for its freaking awesome hardcore scene..and on a side note..if you called Alex (lead singer of Atreyu) a p*ssy to his face..that guy would eat your soul! lol [img]smile.gif[/img] ..just sayin
