What if I want to be a helicopter pilot?

No, it is too late. I won't make weight by this year. They were going to make me an MSIV, send me to LTC, then I'd be an MCIII and after that I'd go to the advanced camp. However, I've been running all summer with little weight loss. I actually lost more when I stopped running for a week (yes I know it's probably water).

If you want to know about flying helicopters in the military go talk to a recruiter. They can give you the information you need. People here are giving you heresay.

You can enter the Army to fly helicopters and you would enter as a Warrant Officer. This is competitive and hard to do. I believe you need at least 20/40 uncorrected vision to fly helicopters. I know they did some research on allowing people that received LASIK to fly, although I don't know if they allow this now. However, talk to a recruiter as my informationis heresay as well.

Yep, they can give you the information you want to hear...er, I mean, you need. I'd say they would tell you to enlist for 4 years, then try to get into OCS.

Dan already said the recruiters wouldn't tell him about OCS. He should talk to the ROTC Battalion Recruiter about it. They'll steer him in the right direction.

I had been talking to the batallion commander last semester - I even took a freshman level ROTC class to get my feet wet. Unfortunately I haven't been able to get in touch with him during the summer. I will have to talk to him soon, though, I was supposed to go into the program this year and he will wonder how I've been.
