So I got arressted tonight....

Well this is the deal.....it was me and like 2 other cars cruising down the highway at about 90-95....speed limit in 70 i beleive....i was the last in line cruising and apparently we passes a State Trooper under a bridge and he thought we were all racing....so being in the back i get ****ed and get pulled over.....his partners guns drawn the other one tells me get out of the car and hands up.....i do and he cuffs me and throws me against his car and searchs me.....then nudged me to the wall of a bridge that we are 300ft up with a huge river below...then forced into his car where I sat for a lil while.....luckily my moms a Probation Officer and I didnt get taken to jail and my car impounded.....I got a $300 ticket for speeding and a court appearance for "Racing"......I take the blame for speeding but the racing part is bull****.

yeah...o well....hopfully in court they will go easy on me since im majoring in Criminal Justice and have 2 years of college under my belt in criminal justice.

That'll help in jury duty, not in court I believe.

Seems like you can get out of that in court though, good luck, and that does sound like bs. If you were racing, chances are you would've been going at least 110

Ouch... Seems more and more people get nabbed with that not racing but a cop has the right to call it racing because of the stupid motherfecking law. No offence but shouldn't have been doing anything, with the holidays, cops are full freaking force, in my side of town, me eddie and mark, say like 6-7 people get pulled over in a 2 mile drive to a Lowes, I saw 2 of the new Red Merc Maruaders on 408, and I got "stalked" twice on I-4(you know where you are not doing anything and the cop follows you and changes lanes with you)

It was funny my girlfriend called me on my cell phone because she was following me in her car and said she always thought it was BS when I say cops stalk me every now and then when I am not breaking any laws.

I'd get lawyer, lawyers make everything better in traffic court, especially serious offenses. Not sure where you are going but alot of schools offer free lawyers, I have used UCF lawyers several times. Got me out of wreckless driving. Even if they cannot get rid of it, lawyers can help reduce it.

Also check things out with fuelsluts, I believe a few of them have been in your situation, maybe they ahve some pointers.

i dont know what the law is down there...up here its a "speed competition violation" ..if you're found guilty of it you can lose your license for up to a year..

Tell the judge you have a big single upgrade on your Supra and that if you were starting to race at 90 that you would have been in another state by the time that cop got up to 65.

I think you actually got off lucky. In NJ they would have taken the car too and given you a huge number of points (probably like 10)...$300 is nothing. anyway, use the above excuse if you have to go to court... say something like "I was behind other cars and didn't realize I was going that fast"... play dumb and be appologetic.
You may not even have to see the judge. You'll probably just see the prosecutor, in which case, they'll only want your money!!

police officers can make any ASSumption they want to. Trying to explain yourself in court is waste of time without a lawyer. Get a good one and you will walk away with only having to pay minor court fees. Take it from someone with 13 speeding tickets. They let them add up when you are young and then all of a sudden boom, no liscense. I wish I could not have been such a dumb **** in HS, but you live and learn. Don't just let this situation sldie by paying a fine. You were only speeding. Do not and I repeat do not just say **** this and pay the fines. It may come back to haunt you later on when you least expect it to. (letter in the mail)
