one quick question.. im in the ****hole right now because i still havent gotten him anything.. although i did remember it was fathers day, i still didnt have the time to get around to getting it.


and im going to feel like a schmuck comign home from work tonite at like 10 o'clock, with a late fathers day gift.

you guys got any good ideas as to what would makeup for a late gift? something to make it look like i did this on purpose?

If you’d have never let us fall, we’d have never learned to get back up. Even when it hurt, you let us make our own mistakes, given that they weren’t too dangerous. In your wisdom, you usually warned us. But because we knew everything, we made our decision anyway.
With a tear in your eye you watched us fall time and time again, but you were always right there to help us get back up.

If you’d never told us “work harder”, we’d have never yelled that we worked hard enough. But we’d also have never learned respected for those things we earned. We’d have probably quit when others said things were impossible, or when we were criticized for having “lofty goals”. We’d have never taken on challenges, and we’d have never proved other people wrong.

If you’d never told us to be quiet, we’d have never learned when to be listeners when we needed to. If you’d never told us not to cry, we’d have never learned to be strong for those we care about. We’d probably have never become a shoulder for someone who needs it, or a rock when worlds fall apart.

And because you’d taught us to get back up when we fall down, because you told us we have to work hard, and because you told us we need to listen once in a while we’ve become kids we hope you are proud of.

Because you’ve taught us all this, and more, we’ve attempted, persevered, and succeeded in our dreams. We have reached our goals, and we do get back up every time we fall down.
