Internet Explorer sucks balls. Plain and simple. I have been using FireFox for some time now and I get pissed when I have to use Internet Explorer. (work, coffee shop, etc)
1)Ever visit more then one webpage at the same time? Then you either have all these IE windows in your taskbar, or they group all together into something like "6 Internet Explorer". What the hell is that? I can't see s#it from that. Firefox utilizes tabbing browsing. One copy of Firefox runs and you use "tabs". Just like navigating through a Windows properties window. SOOOO easy. Not that big of a deal? Read on.
2)The quick search in the upper right hand corner is awesome. Quickly change between Google, Dictionary.com, Ebay, Amazon or Yahoo...and of course it's open ended. (Like everything in Firefox) You can add any search engine based website you want. Big deal? Keep going.
3)DAMN IT! I just accidently closed the wrong window. Now instead of opening another and resurfing to that point.... I can just press F2. Page opens right back to where I was. Even if it was a couple of closed pages back. SOOO bada$$.
4)I suck at spelling. Now I can just right click and select "Check Spelling". BAM! Just like Microsoft Word spell check. HUGE bonus for me.
5)If I EVER want my web browser to doing something a little different, surely there is already an extension made for what I want. COMPLETELY CUSTOMIZABLE!
6)Lastly, but far least, security is unmatched. Plain and simple.
# It is not integrated with Windows, which helps prevent viruses and hackers from causing damage if they somehow manage to compromise Firefox.
# There is no support for VBScript and ActiveX, two technologies which are the reasons for many IE security holes.
# No spyware/adware software can automatically install in Firefox just by visiting a web site.
# Firefox doesn't use Microsoft's Java VM, which has a history of more flaws than other Java VMs.
# You have complete control over cookies.

No. I don't work for Firefox guys. I'm just pissed that internet explorer sucks so bad, but everyone continues to use it. Alls I'm saying is try it out. Download it, install a couple of extensions you will like and use FireFox for awhile. I have the the utmost confidence you'll NEVER go back.

I use it an love it...

you do run into problems once in a blue moon, so you just open up IE and it will work on a page.

only site at the moment I ever run into problems is that ytnmd site... But I just open IE and open in their and it works.

Firefox is waaaay better.

Its not foolproof with security, I am sure it has its own holes... BUT, like 95% of the world uses IE, so if a hacker or someone likes to target a crowd, who are they going to target, 95% of the peopel, or 5%...

What? You don't have 5MB to spare? It's a small little app. Also, for all of you that have a ton of bookmarks that you don't wanna lose... FireFox converts them all during installation. You'll never skip a beat. Oh and shena, nothing is fool proof. But it's WAY better off then IE.

IE can do the majority of that too

IE is not as bad as every says as long as you're careful about where you go. If you go to "spyware.com" or something and they prompt you to download something, if you download it you deserve everything it installs :D I have used them both, but I am an IE user still I VERY RARELY get spyware from IE, and even then, its just a tracking cookie.

I use them both. IE is nice because it corrects bad code were as mozilla and netscape just put it to the screen. I have also been having some issues with firefox locking up on me lately. People who are all high and mighty about mozilla are generally just looking for another excuse to bash on microsoft. I think they are both fine.

Oh really? IE does tabbed browsing? It can re-open closed windows? It has an integrated spell checker? Is IE totally customizable to that of Firefox? Not even close. So I'm a little boggled as to how you can say you used both and continue on with the treachery that is Internet Explorer. Hell no I'm not out to bash Microsoft. Why would I? I use Windows XP like 80% of the US. But when someone builds a better mouse trap, I'm gonna tell other people about it.

Let's forget the security part all together for a minute. Just set it aside. Firefox is still "probably 10 hundred billion times" more user friendly then IE. I am really in utter dismay that anyone can even argue against this...
