Just how much money have we spent on that. Not even counting the subsities and private donation. And have we found a cure yet?

I can't believe you guys are even saying things like that. It really tells me where your morals are.

35 million with a US population of 360 million or so. That's like what, a dime out of your wallet.

Ofcourse, it is great that we are donating and helping. Not only the gov. in this country but churches, businesses and private organization are donating too. Pfeiffer(spelled it wrong) a drug company, matched the US 35 million dollar donation. Ofcourse, our dumb media doesn't put that in the news.

A total of 200 million donation world wide may be considered a drop in a bucket but that's indeed alot of help. What they really need is not only money but human help. To help them with the rebuilding, to get the sewage and water going, and to help threat those who are injured. And most of all to comfort those who are suffering.

I can't even imagine what is like to loose your family in a blink of an eye. This is by far the worst natural disaster in history.

I know some of you don't give a dam about Asia, but over 60% of the products that they buy are from the US.

i only see 15 disasters with higher death tolls, and you can cross off 9 because they were diseases/famine (i see them as caused by overpopulation and dirtiness, not as much nature).
dang, influenza will one day take out the human race or something, 100+ million killed. in like one year, too.

my hearts go out to southeast asia and all the other countries affected. :( just think if san andreas busted out a 9.0 on san fransisco, LA and san deigo. it makes you think how much the world would help us out. :(

Maybe the problem is that Bush released 13.6 BILLION for Florida (and other states) before the election, whereas now "we" can only give 350 MILLION? Even Japan is giving more than us.

350 million is like 2 minutes for the "war on terrorism", haha, j/k... but even 350 million isn't anything.

Sit back and think about that. Hurricane after hurricane destroy Florida. Japan gave? Other Countries gave? So:
                                1) We don't give as much to our own damaged cities? And give more to other countries?
                                2) We help rebuild our country and give what we can to other countries?
