Well, hell I just looked up your car on KBB and it only has a trade in value of around 7k. That's assuming it's loaded. If you could talk him up to ~$6800 it sounds like it wouldn't be that bad of a deal. On the other hand, I don't know how much you paid for the car. Apparently more than $6800 though. Cars are horrible investments, that is unless you own a Ferrari or Lamborghini.

When we used the kbb at work which is hardly ever, no matter what your car is you will be getting FAIR blue book value regardless of year condition or miles. We just took a 04 malibu maxx in for 12g's, she owed 22g's on it. Most of the time they go bye the NADA Black book which is worse than the kelly blue book for customers that is.
