So I bought the Smokey and the Bandit trilogy DVD

Well, it was interesting seeing a third gen Trans Am as the Bandit car!

Hey, the DVD is worth it just for the first movie and it was on sale at the Boca Raton WalMart!

I saw that at target for $11.99, My wife wont let me buy anymore dvds though until i watch the ones we have i never watch{which is like 100 in the original plastic :( }

I saw the second one, many moons ago, and from teh reviews I didn't want to see the third one. (doesn't remember, but was Burt Reynolds even in the third one????????????)

In #3, Burt makes a brief cameo at the end. Jerry Reed drives the TA as the stand-in Bandit.

I liked the the first one, the secon one was just a cheesy smash'um up movie, the only thing funny was the doctor. never heard of a third one. how would you rate it compared to the others?

3 never made it past 99cent video


2 sucked as it was to girly, not enough law breaking, car chasin, and in the end he doesn't even finish the run.

#3 makes #2 look good by comparison.

I remember seeing both 1 and 2 in the theatres when they first came out. 1 was great fun. 2 was simply riding on the success of 1. The elephant thing was stupid. It was kind of interesting to see some of the Florida scenes in #2. For example, at the end, they show Indiantown, FL. I'm guessing the elephant came from nearby Lion Country Safari (the drive-through zoo place).

Burt lives fairly close, in Jupiter, FL.

I found it a few months ago at Best Buy. It's got to be the only trilogy that you can buy for under $14.

3 was beyond pointless. I hadn't seen it until I bought the DVDs. It's about a plastic dolphin.
